UK Police Arrest Three in $20M Crypto Scam Investigation

Three men have been arrested in London as part of Operation Galafarm, a Metropolitan Police probe into a cryptocurrency fraud scheme. The suspects allegedly laundered over £15 million ($20 million) through shell companies after luring victims with fake investment opportunities.

Two individuals aged 24 and 36 were detained in Hackney on May 7, while a third suspect surrendered to authorities. All three have been released on bail as investigations continue. The case highlights growing regulatory scrutiny of crypto-related financial crimes in the UK.
